Hey all, is it possible to run a window eyes demo off an u3 smart drive? If so, how do I go about it?

Also, can I have my older version of win-eyes remain on my laptop while trying out the latest version?

Thanks all!

Yep, you can to both of your questions. I believe.
When putting it on the drive, don't put on the U3 part, put it on the Removal Disk part, if that makes sense.

Well, apparently I can't have the demo and my current version on my laptop. They use different video interfaces or something.

I don't mind downloading the demo and trying it out, but I want to save my settings for win-eyes 5.5. My laptop layout and dictionaries.

well if anyone has heard fo system access.
there is a U3 version which you can install on that for free.
i use that because i can't really afford paying for the next version of jaws since the commission won't pay for it since i hav version 8.0 and because of lack of funds.

so i am going to ask the school to pay for it because they are the ones who also have the licenses for the jfw version since there are other students who are visually impaired.
+ the laptop i am on now is not mine so why will i bother paying for a screen reader myself if first of all, i can't afford the cost.
second of all, i am a college student who recieves a laptop provided by the school, and last but not least, i will return the laptop because i was supposed to keep the older version of the laptop i had after graduation.
but, my laptop crashed completely and i had to get a new laptop which has windows vista which only works better with version 10 because when i spoke to the techs over at freedom scientific, they told me that jaws version 10 is the one that fully supports windows vista because version 9 partially does.

so i don't really feel the need to keep the school laptop anyway because they are crappy and because they crash after a certain period. + the laptops are old models and some of them are referbished, i have an IBM laptop.
im planning to save up and learn about the mack and getting that or an HP.
and if i get that hp laptop, i will get system access because i am not paying the high cost of jaws or wineyes.;
